POWER TOILET AID
The Power Toilet Aid (PTA) from Stand Aid of Iwoa in the United States is battery operated motorised elevating toilet seat designed for individuals who have difficulty in getting into a standing position from the toilet. The user will transfer to the PTA, lower the seat down to the toilet with a touch of a button and back up again when finished. It will lift the user approximately 33cm above the toilet height, bringing them to a standing position.
The PTA will help reduce stress on the knee and hip joints and is safe and comfortable for the user. A good benefit of the PTA is reduced potential of back injuries among attendants caused by lifting patients. The PTA is easy to use; a lift switch is mounted for fingertip operation.
Mobile: The Mobile PTA comes with 4 locking casters, a waist container and a toilet seat. It can be used over the toilet by locking the wheels in place. When you slide the waist container under the seat, the PTA can be also be used as a bedside commode. ( see photo above)
PLEASE NOTE: The stationary PTA as depicted in the video is no longer available. Only the mobile version with locking carters (also shown in the video) is available. The Mobile PTA can also easily be used over the toilet just like the stationary model except the Mobile model does not attach directly to the toilet.
