The U-Step walker 2 for Parkinsons is a very stable walker with the option of a laser light originally designed for Parkinson’s patients and other neurological conditions to help overcome freezing episodes. This walker is also suitable for those who have balance issues and just need a very stable walker.
The U-Step walker is unlike most other walkers, instead, the U-Step 2 surrounds you and moves with you. You will feel as stable as you would feel holding onto another person’s arm.
BRAKING SYSTEM –
The unique braking system is easy to use and puts you in control. The U-Step 2 will not roll unless you are ready to walk. When you lightly squeeze either brake release lever, the unit will roll with you. Once you release the lever, the unit will stop immediately. This feature is particularly helpful when standing up from a chair because the unit will not roll away from you. Reversed braking system is much safer than a traditional walker.
Rolling Resistance Control –
The rolling speed is adjustable on new U-Step 2. Some people find that wheeled walkers roll too fast for them. That is why we engineered a control for setting the rolling resistance. Loosen the set screw and rotate the adjustment lever to the desired amount of resistance, then re-tighten the set screw.
Spring-Loaded Front Wheel –
The spring-loaded front caster wheel glides easily over uneven surfaces, such as indoor molding strips and cracks on the footpath. This avoids sudden jolts as well as the need to lift the walker over small obstacles.
Press Down Lever Kit Upgrade-
The standard U-Step walker can be upgraded to a press down brake option model. This is handy for those who have difficulty in operating the standard hand brakes. This upgrade kit is $200.00.
